Gladsaxe Kammerkor

Gladsaxe Kammerkor was established in 1970. The choir consists of approximately 40 experienced amateurs. Our goal is to make the choir a continued success both musically and socially.

Our repertoire spans from renaissance to contemporary classical music. Among the works we have performed are:

Haydn: Nicolaimesse
Liszt: Missa Choralis
Mendelssohn: Lobgesang
Mozart: Missa Brevis in B & D
Palestrina: Missa Brevis
Schubert: Mass in G
Vivaldi: Gloria 
Weyse: Christmas cantata no. 1 "Fryd dig Zion"

Contemporary works of Bo Holten, Rued Langgaard, Niels la Cour og Knut Nystedt. 

The choir will usually give 4 concerts per year. The concerts are either with purely a cappella works or a mixture of a cappella and bigger works where we work together with professional musicians and singers.

Most of the concerts are held at churches in and around Copenhagen, such as:

The choir has also performed in Germany and Sweden.

In 1997, the choir produced a CD with hymns and motets of the Danish composers Weyse, Barnekow and Rued Langgaard.
